I learned that Franklinism a decade ago when I'd seek out the most dissenting opinion for a course of action and ask them to help me make it better. Inevitably, the plan would become better even if not much different from the start, that person would be involved and heard, and would turn from the most opposed to one of the most supportive.

That's a great example of this idea used in a low-key way.
